According to Tony Chapman, a member of the Canadian Marketing Legends Hall of Fame, the best way to stand out from the tremendous amount of clutter that inundates us daily, is through storytelling. He knows from experience, as the head of two internationally renowned advertising agencies that a well-crafted story is far more persuasive than a features and benefits approach.

March 2018 - Growing Talent: Talks on Capital Hill

Kathy Knight, CEO of ICTAM, was on the go this past February. Earlier in the month, she travelled to Washington DC with CompTIA, the world's leading tech association, and TECNA (Technology Councils of North America) for their annual DC Fly-In. The DC Fly-In is an opportunity for our US counterparts to meet with their congressional leaders on issues affecting the tech industry. This year, the program added a Canadian component which included valuable meetings with US Government Representatives involved in NAFTA negotiations as well as senior bureaucrats at the Canadian Embassy.

March 2018 - Talent Development is Key

Christian Dandeneau was invited to participate as a member of the Canadian Economic Strategy – Digital Industries Table. He and Kathy Knight were in Toronto on February 20-21 to work alongside other tech industry influencers and government to identify sector challenges and develop roadmaps of actionable steps to address those challenges and unlock innovation potential in Canada.

February 2018 - SNAPSHOT: HIGHLIGHTS OF ICT WEST AT CES 2018

2018 marked ICT West’s third year at the event, and the most well-attended delegation by far. We were privileged to accompany 126 delegates representing 50 companies and 3 industry associations from across Western Canada. Our team joined more than 3,900 exhibitors in the 2.75 million square feet of exhibit space across Las Vegas, showcasing and learning about world-changing technologies.

“This was a truly banner year for the Western Canada tech delegation,” says Kay Gardiner, Program Director for ICT West. “Canada had one of the most noticeable spaces in our hall – the red and white were instantly recognizable and visible from anywhere in the room. We had a bold, strong presence.”
