The ICT Community Dinner: forging

On November 10, ICTAM hosted the annual ICT Community Dinner as a celebration of Manitoba ICT and innovation.

Over 150 business and technology leaders from the Manitoba ICT community converged on the Qualico Family Centre at Assiniboine Park for an evening of food, drink and networking between business leaders, innovators and government officials.

Far from its roots as a much smaller event – but true to the values that originated it – ICTAM’s Community Dinner has become the premiere networking event among leading executives and senior managers from a variety of organizations in Manitoba’s information and communication technologies sectors.

Though each attendee’s work is different, guests have at least one thing in common – a keen interest in developing and adopting ICT innovations across sectors, industries and borders.

“ICTAM has always been a great resource for building networks and navigating the ICT community. The Community Dinner is a great way to meet new companies and reconnect with old colleagues. The ICT community in Manitoba is tight-knit, and it’s nice to be able to rely on ICTAM as our advocate and opportunity provider.”

-Brian Eckhardt, CEO, InfoMagnetics Technologies Corporation

“The Community Dinner has been a great networking event for me and our team at Paradigm. Every year I appreciate the opportunity to reconnect with colleagues and meet up-and-comers doing important work across information and communication technology sectors. The event has been good for our business – it’s been a pleasure to sponsor the event once again and be involved this growing community.”

-Mark Hustak, President/CEO, Paradigm Consulting Group Inc.

"The Community Dinner is a great event that's in keeping with ICTAMs strategic pillar of ‘elevate’. Elevate is about building connections, and without connections we can't grow Manitoba's ICT sector. The Community Dinner is all about fostering existing connections and growing new ones – I'm proud that my organization has been sponsoring this event for years."

-Stu Charles, CIO, Workers Compensation Board of Manitoba
